Get to Know the DRIVE! Campaign
The DRIVE! Campaign is a sponsor-supported initiative focused on reducing barriers to employment for Indigenous individuals by improving access to essential licensing.
Through internally raised funds and community partnerships, the campaign helps cover costs associated with obtaining an Ontario G-class driver’s licence, including written tests, workbooks, driver training, and road test fees, while also supporting access to other specialized, career-related certifications.
By addressing financial and access challenges, DRIVE! empowers participants to gain critical credentials that expand mobility, open pathways to employment, and support long-term economic independence within their communities.
Beyond financial support, the Drive! Campaign is grounded in a commitment to equity, self-determination, and community empowerment.
Access to a driver’s licence or specialized certification is often a critical yet overlooked step toward employment, particularly in regions where transportation and training opportunities are limited. By responding directly to these realities, DRIVE! works to close opportunity gaps and support participants in navigating pathways to meaningful, sustainable work.
